中國團隊成功證明國際數學界60多年未解核心猜想
中新社合肥11月2日電 (記者 吳蘭)記者2日從中國科學技術大學獲悉，該校幾何物理中心創始主任陳秀雄教授與合作者程經睿解出了一個四階完全非線性橢圓方程，成功證明“強制性猜想”和“測地穩定性猜想”這兩個國際數學界60多年懸而未決的核心猜想。
相關研究成果近日發表于國際著名刊物《美國數學會雜志》。
凱勒流形上常標量曲率度量的存在性，是過去60多年來幾何中的核心問題之一。關于其存在性，有三個著名猜想穩定性猜想、強制性猜想和測地穩定性猜想。穩定性猜想限制在凱勒-愛因斯坦度量時稱為丘成桐猜想，由著名華裔數學家丘成桐于二十世紀九十年代提出，并由陳秀雄、唐納森和孫崧率先解決。經過眾多著名數學家的工作，強制性猜想和測地穩定性猜想中的必要性已變得完全清晰，但其充分性的證明在陳-程的工作之前被認為遙不可及。
求出一類四階完全非線性橢圓方程的解，就能證明常標量曲率度量的存在性。陳-程的工作恰恰就是在K-能量強制性或測地穩定性的假設下，證明了這類方程解的存在。
專家認為，求解一類四階完全非線性橢圓方程，此前就如同一塊無形的幕墻擋在數學家面前，陳-程的工作就是在幕墻上“掏了一個洞”，在毫無征兆的情況下找到一個突破口，不僅求出了方程的解，而且建立了一套系統研究此類方程的方法，為探索未知的數學世界提供了一種新工具。
